✨ How young is too young for Disney? 🍎
✨ How young is too young for Disney? 🍎
This question comes up all the time: in forums, family conversations, and friend groups. It always sparks debate, and as a Disney mom of five, I wanted to share my perspective.
I grew up loving everything Disney. While digging through old family photos, I originally thought my first Disney trip was when I was 4 years old. It turns out I was actually much younger, probably around 1 or 2, since my brother is four years older than me.
Some of the most common arguments I hear are:
• “They won’t remember the trip.”
• “It’s really just for the parents.”
• “It’s too expensive to bring little ones when they can’t do much.”
I’ll be the first to admit there’s some truth to those points. But as someone who loved Disney as a child, knows my parents loved it too (especially my mom, from what I’ve learned over the years), and is now raising Disney-loving kids of my own, I can honestly say it was worth it.
There’s something incredibly special about watching your children fall in love with the same places and experiences that meant so much to you growing up. It brings out your own inner child as you see everything through their eyes and watch them react in their own unique ways.
My oldest four children visited Disneyland for the first time as infants. My older three went to Disney World when they were just 1 year old, and my youngest was born during the shutdowns, so she didn’t get her first Disney trip until she was 2. 🥹
One thing I know they all enjoy now is looking back at old Disney photos. Do they remember every detail of those trips? No. But they absolutely love hearing the stories behind the pictures and seeing themselves enjoying the Disney experiences. The joy those moments bring is hard to put into words.
So, long story short: bring your baby to Disney.
